Monotype using a printing press

Discover the expressive world of monotype printing in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll create a unique, one-of-a-kind print.

Monotype printing involves directly applying and manipulating ink on a plate before transferring it onto paper, allowing for spontaneous and free-flowing mark-making. Participants will experiment with various tools and techniques, using a printing press to pull their own prints on high-quality cotton paper to take home. All materials, tools, and guidance will be provided by the instructor.

This workshop is led by artist Jiyoung Park, who holds an MFA from Hunter College in New York, where she also taught printmaking and drawing. Now based in Falmouth with her family, Jiyoung brings her expertise and passion for the creative process to inspire you in this engaging printmaking experience.

All skill levels welcome! No prior printmaking experience necessary.
